Graduates of the Triad Yoga Teacher Training Program

"I have tried to describe my learning process while I was here to some of my friends. the best way I could do it was through a metaphor. I explained that it was like going down to a river bed and setting down an empty can. I would pick up as many stones and pebbles as possible and toss them into the can, many of those pebbles would miss, but soon enough the can would be full. I felt I had so much information thrown at me, and though I know I missed a lot, I still learned abundantly, and I can always go back later and pick up the rest of the pebbles on my own."
- Jessica Malloy, RYT 200 Spring 2013 Graduate

I was blessed to not only learn from my instructor, Newton Campbell, but also from my fellow students. I could not have asked for a better group of people to be surrounded by during my 200 hour teacher training. The curriculum was challenging and stimulating, but the classes went deeper than just just normal book work. We picked apart different philosophies of yoga, and explored our own minds for truth and understanding. What I originally came in for during the teacher training was for my certification. I wanted to learn, yes, but mostly I was in it to reach my goal. As always in life, the journey to the goal proved to be just as valuable as the goal itself. I can honestly say that there was no better way for me to get started on my yoga teaching than with Triad Yoga

The training content was rigorous and well thought-out. We learned a broad and in-depth curriculum. We constructed our own notebook allowing us the opportunity to really understand the common thread of its organization and purpose. We took the lessons one-by-one in a logical fashion, allowing our learning mechanisms to build sensible stratum upon a strong foundation. Newton was a fair and conscientious instructor, listening and responding to students questions and concerns. He invested time and energy in both his written and verbal communication. He was open, honest and fair.

I have had the privilege of being the first graduating class of Triad's first Yoga Teacher Training...Newton is extremely well versed in the different asanas and patiently taught us all how to not only teach them properly but also that we understood the meaning of each pose. I felt that this YTT was extremely beneficial to my already movement based background but that Newton and Mark, owners of Triad Yoga & Pilates, genuinely encouraged, nurtured and cared for me during the 8 weeks so that I would walk away being held to my highest possibility

"It was a unique experience for me. "Yoga" had more deep meanings than I ever thought. I joined thinking we would do "Yoga" means POSES. So, I expected I'll be flexible and better shape it was not. I learned a lot tougher. Much more than just poses and it was not quick lesson or quick lecture. It was lessons for life."

"The theory that Mark and Newton cover is authentic, deep and comprehensive. I learned a lot of Sanskrit and a ton of new asanas. I also learned a lot about how the body works and how to connect on a deeper level with my yoga practice. One of my favorite parts of the training is the exposure to various types of yoga. Before the YTT I didn't know Kundalini Yoga existed! Also, the time we spent teaching mock yoga classes was invaluable. The constructive criticism from the other students and from our instructors really helped strengthen my confidence as a future yoga instructor." Amy Carpenter, M.Ed., RYT 200 Fall 2013 Graduate

"Since the YTT I have been teaching yoga regularly, and I have built a lot of confidence in my teaching. It's great to get the opportunity and experience right after graduating! Thanks Triad! - Amy Carpenter, M.Ed., RYT 200 Fall 2013 Graduate

"The past three months have been the most inspirational and mentally stimulating experience of my young adult life. I was a nomadic student in Orange County, but there was no doubt in my mind that Triad's Teacher Training Program would be where my teaching foundation would set. The owners of Triad and my teachers in this program, Newton Campbell and Mark Devenpeck have created an awe-inspiring environment that projects both traditional yogic ideology and a blissful passion for the art and science of yoga practice. The structure was a constant and gradual flow of eclectic information that cemented an informational base for me to explore and expand on my personal journey." Aubrie Pohl, RYT 200 Summer 2014

"Newton and Mark , owners of Triad Yoga and instructors for the YTT, were welcoming and friendly from the start. After discussing the many "coincidences" revolving me and the program, it was without hesitation that I would be enrolling. Mark and Newton in themselves undoubtedly resemble all that is HaTha yoga, for they are, as a pair, the yin and yang of their teaching program and business. With different styles and finesse as well as different backgrounds, they share and join forces of one goal: to be the best and educate the best. Their passion for what they do and all they represent is clearly portrayed from the first day of class. The tone is set forth immediately. the program is serious and is to be taken as such. The students are responsible for taking initiative to further study and read up on what is taught in class. First coming into it, I truly had no idea what to expect. As a personal trainer, I inevitably anticipated much of the physical anatomical aspects of the asanas. However, what I got was so much more." Danya Sher, RYT 200 Summer 2014 Graduate

"I have gained knowledge through practice, learned through experience, and will continue to reinvest what I have absorbed to expand and pursue an even deeper understanding of yoga. I have created everlasting bonds with other students in the program, and with thanks to Mark and Newton, I feel well-prepared to venture into teaching so that I can share my passion of a dedicated yoga practice. The internal work I have accomplished in this short time has been truly transformative, but the goal of being a certified teacher is just a small part of my journey. Now, I will continue my commitment to follow a course of continuous and everlasting improvement. I am so grateful to have been a part of Triad's Teacher Training Program, and I am thankful for the knowledge needed to pass the light and inspire others."
Aubrie Pohl, RYT 200 Summer 2014 Graduate

"Everything just seemed to fall into place. The level of education is outstanding and in depth. I would guess our binders are over a quire of paper (half a ream!) Reference I'm sure I will go back to many times in the path ahead. Triad Yoga has provided a fertile ground for my lotus to grow. I look forward to entering my teaching career with the skills that Triad has given me."
