What People Are Saying About Triad Yoga & Pilates

Triad Yoga is my fave place ever.  I was so sad when I moved away to Vancouver, BC and did not have Newton's "fig yoga" class twice a week to keep me in shape.  Vancouver is the home to Lululemon and I can tell you now after a year of searching there is nothing compared to Triad.  I liked that the instructors at Triad really made an effort to actually know everyone's name and were genuine, kind people.  When I moved back to Irvine a year later the first thing I did we re-enroll at Triad.  My fave classes were with Newton and Suzy.  Unfortunately after 6 months I had to move
again, but when I get I chance I will for sure do a drop in whenever I'm back in Irvine.

PROS- great instructors, small class size, variety of classes and times, challenging- not routine like (instructors actually put some thought into what they are teaching...not just copying moves from a DVD), good location, easy parking.

Cons- there are none :)

This place really made an impression on me as my first yoga studio.  Definitely worth checking out.

When I first started with Yoga, I gave Triad a shot because I worked in the area.  The instructors were awesome, offering coaching and encouragement... not to mention their wonderful personalities.  Over the next few years I built up some confidence in my yoga practice with their help and found attending more than just weekdays after work.  I even attended a Yoga Retreat with the instructors in Santa Barbara.  I haven't found a studio that matches Triad

Never having been to yoga ever before a friend and I jumped right into the Tuesday Hatha Yoga class. The instructor (Marlene) was pretty clear and very helpful with my numerous flubs. It's a good workout despite how relaxing it looks it should be. We went a week later for  a proper beginner class with a different instructor and terms were explained etc. Much less intense but perfect for an introduction or someone who isn't as flexible just yet.The staff is very courteous and professional. There are also loaner mats if you aren't sure that you want to invest in one just yet.

I've been to many a yoga studio. I'm kind of picky. This place (in a fab new location off MacArthur) is clean, bright, and welcoming. All the instructors are great, all very different. Mark's classes are great and will challenge you, Marlene's are good as well, I've taken her hatha classes which are nice if you want a more mellow class or if you're starting. She'll really help you with your form. If you're looking for something over your lunch hour or you don't have as much time, Julie's 12-1 class is amazing and you'll never realize the hour has flown by. Parking is easy, it's in an industrial-type complex so if you've never been, give yourself an extra couple minutes in case you get lost wandering around the many brick buildings. I will definitely be including Triad in my yoga studio rotation.

I love this place. I started out with the Groupon (10 class) deal to test it out and am staying on as a regular student/customer here. I go to Mark's Wednesday class almost every week now and always feel refreshed and calm after. His classes have helped this beginner begin to attempt learning to do the headstands (against a wall for starters), which for me was an accomplishment. Also Newton teaches excellent workshops which may look intimidating but he will work with you if you are less advanced (me), and I learned quite a bit from the workshop (my first one). They are worth it if you want to learn and further your practice. Suzanne's classes are also great and challenging. In short, all of the classes have been great and I have learned to further my practice each time. Also, the studio is very clean with nice lighting and decoration with a soothing ambiance. Also the package prices are quite reasonable. I highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed!  Enjoy!

I practiced at this yoga studio when they were at the Dupont /Jamboree location.  The instructors were all very kind and helpful.  At the time when I was going, the class size was always small and intimate which was nice because the instructor was able to gives us more individual attention.  If you are on their mailing list they will email you about schedule changes and special events.  This was useful because I don't always have time to go to their website to check the schedule for changes.  I also liked that they offered late classes because I can't always make it to the 5pm or 6pm after a long work day.

Every time I leave, I can't wait to go back. I'm semi-addicted to this place. Which is better than being addicted to a doughnut shop, right?
Mark is amazing. He makes you feel so at ease, no matter what level you are, or what level class you attend. After Marlena's class, I definitely thought I should be in pre-level 1, but she still rocks. Last class, she called us her, "little spider monkeys" because she wanted us to do this ridiculous bridge, then walk our hands up the wall until we were standing up. I laughed out loud, literally. She is so funny.

When I started Yoga, I started with Triad Yoga.  All of the instructors here really know their stuff.  I did a level 1 Yoga with Mark, a Fig Yoga level 2 with Newton, and a Pilates class with Abigail.
After that first week, my muscles ached for days, but I had chosen classes above my skill level.  The classes are very relaxing, the pricing here is good for their introductory course, and the music, candles, huge studios, blankets, and caring instructors really set the bar high.

Triad Yoga is what a yoga studio should be. From the time I signed up (a little rusty in my practice) to the time I moved away (able to execute asanas I'd never imagined possible and feeling mentally balanced to boot), I felt welcomed and supported.
The vibe of this place is, yes, "zen", but not in any way pretentious. The instructors push you in the friendliest way possible. Everything is clean. The lighting ushers you into a calmer state of mind without your notice. I moved to Dallas TX in December; while I am happy at my current studio, nothing brings it all together like Triad.

Just completed my first class with Newton Campbell at Triad Yoga.  I was so impressed   I have done a lot of Yoga classes in various studios in Orange County, but no instructor ever took the time to train me properly on the positions.  Newton took care to ensure each student understood each position, that our form was correct and explained the purpose of each move, which made all the difference in the world.  I got so much more out of this class than any class I've ever done, and highly recommend this studio
